STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
School of Contemporary Music College has links with many external providers to help support students with disabilities throughout their studies. Students can apply for funding called Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) to cover the costs of any external help or extra equipment they may need.
Many of our students receive help from DSA funding and have regular meetings with external support workers provided by specialists like Clear Links. You can apply for DSA funding separately or alongside your loan from student finance. It is important that you do this prior to the start of term to ensure support will be in place. Information and guidance on how to apply.
APPLICANTS WITH DISABILITIES
Needs Assessment Meeting
If you have listed a disability on your application form we may invite you to a needs assessment meeting prior to making an offer. This gives us the opportunity to consider your support needs. Do I need to do anything prior to the meeting?
Please send the Admissions team a copy of your report or letter from GP or in the case of Specific Learning Difficulties a report from a psychologist or a specialist teacher taken on or after your 16th birthday.
