Sibelius Notation & Arranging
Sibelius Notation & Arranging (5 days) provides technical skills, musical knowledge and performing experience that prepares students for a wide range of professional and creative opportunities as performing musicians. This course is designed for students who wish to develop contemporary music performance skills. For the professional vocalist, the ability to create easy-to-understand and easy-to-edit charts and lead sheets is invaluable.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Sibelius Notation & Arranging (5 days) this course is designed for students to develop core skills as well as an understanding of workflow and concepts involved in notating music using Sibelius software. This course introduces the popular music notation software Sibelius as a digital means for creating charts and lead sheets, along with some basic arranging exercises. Using Sibelius notation software to create lead sheets, master rhythm scores and individual parts formatted in a way similar to those students will need to create for Arranging. Students combine notation skills with knowledge gained in musicianship classes to create, edit, and arrange charts for use in their own recordings and performances. For all students, this course has wide application for theory, arranging, song writing and other assignments requiring notation.
There will be a maximum of 9 participants per class.

Who is it for?
This course is ideal for aspiring musicians, composers, arrangers, performers and publishers with little to no experience in music notation. It is highly recommended for students who want to apply for further study in music.
