Worship Leadership (3 days) course is focused on developing you as a worship leader and musician whilst working with other musicians and vocalists. You will have opportunities to lead worship, perform gospel and contemporary songs in our performance season and be trained by talented, excellent and lecturers. This course culminates your development as a worship leader with an intense focus on your musicianship and leadership capacity. You will be empowered as a music and worship director in various ministry settings. In addition to your leadership training, your major assessment will be a worship performance.

There will be a maximum of 20 participants per class.

What you will learn

Vocal Techniques: this part of the course will develop and improve your singing ability. Through this you will establish good singing habits, which will free your imagination to bring music to life and add character to your performance. You will participate in physical and vocal warm-ups and learn about correct posture, breathing and tone production.

Musicianship - Sight Singing and Basic music theory - this will be taught through practical activity in a sequential and enjoyable way that will be applied to a choral setting using a variety of accessible repertoire in different styles.

Your fee also includes an ID card to access the building, as well as access to our library facilities for the duration of this course.

Who is it for?

This course is ideal for anyone who regularly sings, or would like to sing, in a mixed vocal group, a female choir or a male choir, whether this is a choral society, community choir or workplace choir.

If you are new to choral singing, this course will introduce you to the essential basic skills that will give you the confidence to sing in a group. If you have sung in a choir/vocal group for some time but would like to improve your theoretical knowledge of music, your sight singing skills and vocal technique, then this course is for you.
